New Treatment for MS Approved:  Merck KGaA won approval to sell Cladribine, a pill that treats multiple sclerosis, in Russia.

Renewable Energy:  ERG Renew and Lukoil signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the renewable energy sources market – specifically wind energy – in Eastern Europe and Russia.

Broadband Internet:  President Medvedev held a meeting on mass media, where he discussed his goal of driving the large-scale implementation of broadband Internet and granting access to at least 90 percent of Russia's population.

Modernization Alliances:  In a speech to Russia's corps of ambassadors and permanent representatives to international organizations, President Medvedev called for the creation of alliances focused on modernization with the United States and the EU.
