Roland Nash declares Russia a great place for investors to make money

“Russia has been one of the best places for investors in public markets to make money over the last 10 to 15 years,” said Roland Nash, senior partner at Verno Capital.

Roland Nash, who specializes in public markets and is based in Moscow, delivered this message in Toronto at a conference hosted by the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association, where business leaders recently gathered to share their formula for success in doing business in Russia.  

Nash knows the investment climate in Russia exceptionally well having lived and worked there for the past 15 years. He recently shared his thoughts on Russia’s emerging economy and noted that while it is much more difficult to do business in Russia, the scale of opportunities is much greater, as Russia has one of the most dynamic and growing economies in the world.  Nash also stated that there is a lot of potential to work with cheap, well-run companies in every industry.

Following his panel discussion, Roland Nash sat down with Modern Russia to discuss some of the misconceptions about investing in Russia, giving tips on how to identify opportunities while also providing his thoughts on the state of the economy. Watch the full interview below.
