The Canadian Province of Alberta was proud to host Dmitry Kobylkin, governor of our Russian sister province Yamal-Nenets, recently on one of his first international missions.   The friendly relationship between Alberta and Russia was expanded under a new cooperation agreement signed by the Governor and Alberta’s Minister of International and Intergovernmental Relations Iris Evans.

There are some 92,000 Albertans of Russian ancestry, so it was an honor for our province to be the destination of one of Governor Kobylkin’s first international missions.
